New Beginnings

It's been far too long since I've been able to post.  My blog got its britches in a bunch with its layout and my sweet friend and blogger extraordinaire, Marcie of IamMarcie's Place, unbunched it properly.  I promise to never attempt the wilds of downloading a new layout without proper hand holding again.

With a new lease on blogging life after so long without, I found myself unable to think up a single thing to blog about to get me back in the groove.  I felt like I needed a new license or something....then one happened today.  Literally.

Jr. Hunky Man has a shiny new driver's license as of 11 a.m. this morning.  Wow.  Big step for him and for me!  *sigh* When did he get so big?  Just yesterday he was crawling around and now he's 6'1", 190 lbs.  And when did he get so handsome and responsible?  Oh, he's always been handsome, but in the cute boy-way.  Not the man-like handsomeness taking over now.  I'd better stop before I embarrass him even further.

I've warned my younger son that he better stop all this growing business right now until his mother recovers a bit.  :-)

So I've called the insurance company, poured a glass of wine, and am bracing for the future...can anyone relate?

Cheers,
Donna

  1. WoooHooo! Another milestone! Amazing how the baby turns into an adult in what seems like the blink of an eye at times (at other times it seems like an eternity and you wonder if Gypsy's will take em off yer hands! Congratulations Mom....you did good!

  2. Congratulations to you and to the new driver! "Let the fun begin!" Now you have more free time as the new driver can help with the movement of his sibling and will want to run more errands for you than you actually have. But, now you will worry even more since he will be on the road solo. I know I did! Good luck and keep the wine flowing!
    Love ya,

  3. Congrats to the handsome man-child. (Wow, he's really grown up a lot lately!) and (((((((((Hugs))))))))) to you dear Dondy. I' right there with you, sister. My boys are about the same age. It's awesome seeing glimpses of the man inside the boys, but oh, it tugs at my heart.
